I've stopped in here several times with friends on the weekend for breakfast/brunch/I'm so hungover I don't care if its past noon I need hashbrowns stat. The place is full of regulars, mostly in their 60s and above, but that seems normal for this place. The place is always pretty busy, but we've always managed to find a booth pretty quickly, and our waitress has always been very nice, although usually really busy in the crowded room. These girls definitely have to work the room, and I feel their pain. I used to wait tables and although this is kind of a generalization, the older crowd is always way harder to please. There's almost always something they can find to complain about. So when I'm at a place like this and the waitress takes an extra few minutes to get back to my table, I'm a little understanding when I gage the rest of the clientelle that she's serving. As for the food, it's always been very good. They used to run a special on breakfast which I don't know is still in effect or not this month, you would get one egg, hashbrowns, bacon or sausage, toast and coffee for only $3.99, which is pretty spectacular. I usually opt for this, but I've also tried the Florentine Omlette, which is filled with tomatoes, olives, artichokes, onions and cheese. Pretty much perfect for those mornings I want something comforting without all the grease (I'm not a huge breakfast meat fan). On the other hand one of my friends always seems to order something covered in gravy and I always end up staring at it during breakfast. This place is pretty good, especially for an off the beaten path Casino. I'm sure I'll be back here many more times in the future, or atleast while theres still mornings to wake up hungover to.

I've been going here for five or more years. The food, in general, is good. The deserts are great. Its just a little bit hit and miss depending on the mood of the chef. Oh, and some of the cooks are not afraid to fight in the kitchen....

3.5 stars. I came here this morning with my sister who lives here in La Center with her boyfriend. We came here since our stomach's were wanting breakfast and it seemed like the closest thing to a full meal seeing that this town is a small town without a traffic signal whatsoever. Yep, no traffic signaled intersection. First time in my book. We walked in and was greeted by a sign that says "Please be seated" and found plenty of room to find a seat. Then I noticed that there was a lot of town folk here, I mean, everyone knew each other! It was weird. Then comes in my sister's bf's parents and they came over and said hi to us and chatted for a bit. The one thing I really noticed is that people here are reaaalll friendly. We were greeted "good morning" by a random older man that was walking by us on the way to the restaurant. The ironic thing is that this restaurant is in a casino and it doesn't have that casino feeling! It's a small one for sure but it was a nice change of pace of having a home-y feeling to it and I felt quite comfortable. :) Onto the food, it was okay, like any ol' restaurant food really. Ordered the corned beef hash with scrambled eggs. Not too shabby except for the corned beef was a little over cooked but nonetheless the flavors flowed well together. My sister ordered the Greek omelet and she couldn't finish it since there was a lot of egg in it, yet she managed to finish the rest of the hash browns and biscuit (we eat a lot for breakfast, one of our favorite things to do when we get the chance to hangout). The service was average, like any other restaurant. Instead of bringing just one type of tabasco sauce our waitress brought out a whole trio. Thank you :) And we didn't wait very long for our food. I also noticed that this is quite the gathering place for the older population and that it's nice to be able to see that rather than cooped up in a retirement home or something. Their dessert menu sounded amazing with different kinds of pie and cakes! hopefully we get to try those out eventualy ;)

If you order the "fish and chips" you will get actual fish sticks from your school cafeteria. This place is pretty gross. We got free food there and it still wasn't worth it.

The only thing that keeps me from giving this place 5 stars is the quirky service. Never has been the strong point here. Now for the FOOD, it is GREAT. Try the hot chips, they're cheap and I order them as an appitizer, even though they're not listed on the app menu. To think that this hole in the wall town could have a really good Restaurant that's OPEN 24 hours a day, is unbelievable. I drive several miles out of my way a couple times a month to eat here, IT's WORTH the drive!! P.S. Don't forget the desert.

I just moved to La Center and wanted to see if any of the local restaurants were any good. I have read the mixed reviews for the Last Frontier so I was a little apprehensive to go here. Inside the place looks pretty blah. It's your normal, average restaurant with vinyl covered booths and cheap menus. However don't let that fool you. The food here is actually pretty good! I had the salmon burger. It was full of flavor and very good! My husband had the mac and cheese which I thought was great. I consider myself a connoisseur of mac and cheese and Last Frontier knows how to make a good one. I will definitely be back to try more food or perhaps their breakfast selection?

Terrible food selection can't even get a patty melt..Boo don't go here! Limited menu and they don't let you deviate from the menu. Where the real food at? Mediocre bacon burgers don't cut it! What happens to the blue cheese burger or the Fry baby?! No wonder business is down. The manager should listen up and take some pointers. Let me in there I'll show you how to make food!

this is one of my favorite local Breakfast stop in places; Usually my choice when meeting with friends for pleasure or Business. The prices are good. the service is good, the food is very good I recommend the $3.99 Sunrise special. simply add an extra egg and one's choice of Bacon,Ham or sausage [link or patty] with toast or Biscuit and coffee of course, you have a grand total of $5.18 not counting a tip! So this is great for the frugal minded individual? this place is friendly, Homey and convenient to say the least? Thank you, Larry H in La Center;

My girlfriend lives in La Center so we brought her parents to this place when they were visiting. The food and service were okay. I would not return or recommend this place if you have other options.

I'm in town for work staying in La Center at my sisters house. We came here for dinner. We came in and we're told to sit where we would like. My sister always orders the crab benedict, and said it's fantastic. I ordered the bistro steaks with potatoes and mushroom gravy and garlic vegetables. I usually won't order a cheaper cut of meat because most places can't cook them well but wow....Our food was fantastic. My sister gave me a bite of the benedict and it was garlicky and cooked to perfection just as my steaks were. Even being a cheaper cut it was cooked to tender point. I really love that this place seasons their food properly. It's hard to find food cooked this well living in Seattle so what a surprise to find it here in little La Center. I'm so pleased with my food and our server was so sweet and kept our glass full the entire time. It's strange to see bad reviews, but the night I went was great. I am a foodie, I go to a ton of places to eat and this was some great American style food. Very happy customer.

Don't order the Rib Eye. It was the fattest and thinnest piece of meat ever. The star was the bread roll and that probably came out of a grocery bag.

The actual review date was 2/23. We had a little time in between basketball tournament games and this was the only really close place in LC. We ordered several items including a French dip, a salad, chicken fingers and a , crapsi. A little slow but they managed to get us out in 45 between Basketball games. The food overall was average to below average but nobody got sick so that's a plus for sure. With a little effort, this place could be really great but there appears to be way too much emphasis on the casino but I do understand that gambling generally has a higher gross margin than food service. I mildly recommend this place but it could be a lot better.

I can't recommend this place after working here for years. I've never really gone here or ate here much anyways. They use some pretty cheap product ordered from sysco for all their meals too. Some of the food may be good but how its run and how they treat their employees is horrible. I don't ever plan on working or eating here again.

Lunch, not bad. Service, so so. We went during the neighborhood yard sales in the neighborhood. It was nicely air conditioned so on a hot day, that was nice. The food was good and the prices were not too bad. They have daily specials which is nice. Not so nice was that the servers were confused as to who got who and the outcome was that I ordered a drink from one not realizing that my fiance had already owed me a drink from another server. Now I had two drinks in front of me and when I told the second server that I wasn't aware the drink was already ordered, she just put the drink down and walked away rather than asking if I still wanted it. I guess it just rubbed me wrong that they did not accept responsibility or at least pick ONE server so that order was not messed up (yes, it got messed up). I have gone in the past during breakfast and never had any problems. This was my first time at lunch.

Good for breakfast but mediocre for lunch and dinner. Maybe 2.5 stars. Breakfast is the bargain here and I have never had a bad meal in the morning. I would order burgers or sandwiches for lunch. Dinner is OK. Most of their entrees are overpriced, too salty, and lack flair. The place is good for kids and old people. Occasionally, some drunk morons from the casino eat here and can get rowdy. They need to overhaul the menu from the 1980's. Overall, a decent breakfast place.

Oh man 5 freaking stars! The steak and free water costs hundreds but it's so worth it because when you're eating and your pockets are empty except for some 50 cent coins and your bank account balance is reduced to double digit numbers.. Ahhhh that steak is so enjoyable because it's practically all you have left :')
